After a tease the day before, the new Batmobile expected to appear in the 2016 Man of Steel sequel has been revealed to legions of eagerly waiting fans, and Batman also appears next to it.
It’s the first major reveal of what elements of the movie could look like, and the well-known car seems to have taken on a mash-up of an appearance, drawing characteristics from both Tim Burton’s Batman movies and Christopher Nolan’s. The vehicle was originally teased in a tweet from Zack Snyder, who only showed the rear wheels and axel. The new image depicts the car, though a good portion of it is obscured by a Batman seemingly lost in thought, or contemplating the vengeance he will unleash upon the night.
This new Batmobile was built by General Motors.
The Man of Steel sequel is slated for a May 6, 2016 opening in theaters worldwide and will not only feature Superman and Batman, but also Wonder Woman, Cyborg, and other familiar DC Comics icons, like Lex Luthor and Alfred Pennyworth.
